In the Russian city of Belgorod, after the Ukrainian attack, they report an extensive power outage, the first since the beginning of the war in Ukraine. Referring to the statements of local officials and residents, DPA reported on Sunday, TASR writes.

Thousands of houses remained in the evening without electricity, according to witnesses, people were stuck in the yields and the apartments plunged into the darkness. The rocket reportedly hit the heating plant. Shots on social networks show explosions and rising smoke.

Electricity outages

The governor of the Belgod region Viačeslav Gladkov in the video on the Telegram platform said that there were “significant” power outages in the city. He pointed out that the alarm before the air attack was still in force, and he called for the residents to hide in cellars. Gladkov also reported that two people suffered injuries and that hospitals used backup generators.

Ukrainian forces repetition intervene 300 thousand Belgorod and the same area in particular by drones in defense against Russia’s invasion. The aim is to destroy Russian military logistics, DPA added.
