The White House on Monday published an American peace plan for the Gaza band, which envisages the end of the war between Israel and the militant Hamas movement and the return of all hostages – the living and the dead. At the same time, it stipulates that in the event of the end of the fighting, the Gaza band would pass under the report of the transitional government headed by US President Donald Trump. According to Trump, only Hamas has not yet disagreed with the plan, but he hopes that the movement will be positive. TASR reports this according to Sky News reports.

Trump’s 20-point plan, which they published shortly before his press conference with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in the White House, assumes that if both sides of the conflict agree to the proposal, “the war will end immediately”. It does not require the Palestinians to leave the Gaza band – if they want to, they will be able to do so and freely return.
Israeli army will withdraw
Hostage should be released within 72 hours from the moment of the agreement to be accepted by Israel and Hamas. As soon as everyone gets out of freedom, Israel will release 250 Palestinians sentenced to life imprisonment and 1700 Gaza inhabitants who were detained after the Hamas attack of October 7, 2023.
According to the proposal, Israeli forces will withdraw to the agreed positions to prepare for the release of the hostages. At that time, all attacks and also frozen combat lines will be suspended, until the conditions for a complete gradual withdrawal of Israeli soldiers will be fulfilled.
The plan also demands the creation of a so -called “Council of Peace”, which would be chaired by Trump and which a member would also be the former British Prime Minister Tony Blair. This international authority would look at the “apolitical Palestinian committee” composed of qualified Palestinians and international experts, which will manage Gaza under the Palestinian self -government after the war. According to the proposal, it has completed the reform and is ready to manage the Gaza band.
They will destroy the Hamas infrastructure
Hamas and other militant groups should not participate in the government. Hamas infrastructure – including underground tunnels and weapon production facilities – should be destroyed. The proposal presupposes the process of demilitarization of the Gaza band. Hamas members who decide to hand over the weapons and commit themselves to peaceful coexistence will be able to stay in Gaza. Those who want to leave will be provided with a safe transition to the countries that will want to accept them.
At a press conference, Trump thanked Netanyahu for agreing to the peace plan, and expressed the hope that Hamas would also be done. “I hope we will reach a peace agreement, and if Hamas refuses it, which is still possible, the only one will remain … But I feel we will get a positive answer,” the US President added.
