Program that supports families in replacing gas appliances with more efficient electrical equipment available from 11am on Tuesday, and government can give another 10 million. But it is not free of criticism.
Applications to the program start finally this Tuesday, September 30, around 11h00, through the Environmental Fund website, according to the site itself.
The new support is intended to replace gas, stoves and gas heater with more modern and efficient electrical versions, with energy or higher energy classification. The available budget is 30 million euros, but can be reinforced in plus 10 millionwithin the scope of the Plan for Recovery and Resilience (PRR) and with approval by the European Commission.
The process runs until June 30, 2026, or even exhausted the assigned funds. After online submission, Each application is evaluated and, if accepted, the beneficiary receives an email to validate the acceptance term within five business days.

Who can benefit
Initially created only for needy families, namely beneficiaries of the social tariff of electricity or other social supports, the program was extended to all consumers, without exceptions. But there is a special focus on the most vulnerable aggregates, which receive higher values in the supports.
It should be noted that the program includes only Three types of equipment: Gas stoves, ovens and heater, to be replaced with induction plates, electric ovens and thermoacumulators.
Other appliances, such as refrigerators, washing machines or heat pumps, they are left out. And there is no support for those who want to replace old electrical appliances with more modern versions.
How much can be received
The supports differ depending on the condition of the aggregate. For needy families, the, distributed by: 369 euros for induction electric plate; 179.60 euros for conventional electric plate; 369 euros for electric oven; and 615 euros for thermoacumulator. In these cases, stores also receive 50 euros for transport and 100 euros for the installation of equipment.
For the other consumers, the maximum support is 1100 euroswith values of 300 euros for induction plate, 146 euros for conventional plate, 300 euros for electric oven and 500 euros for thermoaccurate. Transport and installation are in charge of the buyer.
In both cases, the vouchers are valid for 60 days after their issuance. If not used during this period, they expire. Consumers can choose the desired models as long as they meet the requirement of energy efficiency (class A or higher). If the price of the equipment exceeds the value of the support, the difference should be assumed by the customer.
Replaced gas equipment will be collected by stores and sent to recyclingcontributing to reduce waste and polluting emissions.
The proposal is being criticized by the deco Especially by reducing the choice of beneficiaries, with the voucher having to be used at once with a single supplier and in a single sticking store. The decoration also criticizes the lack of incentives in the E -lar program for structural interventions, such as thermal insulation works, which could have long-term impact on the energy efficiency of housing.
