Netanyahu accepts Trump plan for Gaza. Agreement is “very, very close” (only Hamas is missing)

US President Donald Trump welcomes Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu at the White House

Donald Trump released his 20 -point plan to end the war in the Gaza Strip. Benjamin Netanyahu expressed support for the US President’s plan, but conditioned him to “radical” changes in Palestinian Authority (AP).

O Trump’s plan includes a ceasefire In the Israeli offensive, the liberation of all hostages and the establishment of a transitional government supervised by a Board presided by Trump himself.

In the plan – according to which, if adopted, “No one will be forced to leave Gaza” -The United States is also committed to mediating between Israel and Palestine to a “peaceful coexistence” and opening the way for the creation of a Palestinian state.

Here are the 20 detailed points of the US proposed plan:

  1. Gaza will be a free zone of terrorism and will not represent a threat to Israel.
  2. Gaza will be rebuilt for the benefit of his people.
  3. Immediate cease and gradual withdrawal of Israelite forces to prepare the liberation of hostages.
  4. Liberation, within 72 hours, of all hosts of Hamas, alive and dead.
  5. Israel will free 250 Palestinian prisoners sentenced to life imprisonment and 1,700 residents of Gaza detained after October 7 attacks.
  6. Hamas is committed to peaceful coexistence and disarmament.
  7. After accepting the agreement, all the necessary humanitarian aid will be sent to Gaza.
  8. The entry and distribution of humanitarian aid will be carried out without interference and through the United Nations agencies.
  9. Gaza will be managed by a technocratic committee supervised by an international “peace council”, chaired by Trump himself and included former British Prime Minister Tony Blair. A reformed Palestinian authority will take control later.
  10. An economic development plan for Gaza will be created to attract investment.
  11. A special economic zone in Gaza will be established.
  12. There will be no forced move, and those who go out will voluntarily have the right to return, although “people are encouraged to stay and have the opportunity to build a better Gaza.”
  13. Hamas and other factions will not be able to rule Gaza “directly or indirectly”, and the track will be demilitarized under international supervision.
  14. Countries in the region will ensure that Hamas and other groups fulfill their commitments and that Gaza does not represent a “threat to their citizens or neighbors.”
  15. An international stabilization force (ISF), supported by the US and Arab partners, will be sent to train Palestinian police forces and maintain internal and border security, an area in which Egypt and Israel will cooperate.
  16. Israel will not occupy or attach Gaza; will gradually remove to transfer control to ISF and maintain a security perimeter if necessary.
  17. In case Hamas postpone or reject the proposal, all mentioned measures will be implemented in the “terrorism free” areas that Israel has transferred to the Internal Security Forces (ISF).
  18. Interreligious dialogue will be promoted to foster tolerance and peaceful coexistence between Palestinians and Israelites.
  19. As reconstruction advances and reforms are implemented in Palestinian authority, the possibility of self-determination and the creation of a Palestinian state will open.
  20. The United States will establish a dialogue between Israel and Palestine to agree on a political horizon that allows peaceful and prosperous coexistence.

Benjamin Netanyahu expressed support for the plan From Trump, but conditioned him to “radical” changes in Palestinian Authority (AP).

For the Israeli Prime Minister, even the most moderate AP that rules in the busy West Bank-will not have “any role to play” in Gaza without “radical” changes. Also according to Netanyahu, under the plan Israel will maintain “security responsibility” in Gaza.

If Hamas does not accept Trump’s plan, Israel will “take the task to the end” In Gaza, which invaded the Hamas attack, with the aim of eradicating this movement.

Agreement is “very, very close”

At a joint press conference with Netanyahu after a White House meeting, Trump announced that an agreement on Gaza is “very, very close.”

This is a big, big day, a magnificent day: We are, at least, very, very close, and I think we are even more than very close, and I want to thank ‘Bibi’ For really coming and done the work, ”said Trump, using the diminutive of the Israeli head of government.

Next to Netanyahu, Trump also thanked him for “accepting” his 20-point plan for Gaza: “Thanks for accepting this plan to put an end to the destruction we have watched so long,” Trump told the Israeli head of government.

“I have the feeling that we will have a positive answer” from Hamashe added.

If this does not happen, Trump stressed that Israel “has the full support” of Washington to take steps to defeat Hamas, which triggered the war in Gaza by performing, on October 7, 2023, an attack of unprecedented proportions in Israeli territory, Killing 1,200 people and kidnapping 251.

Israel’s retaliation has done so far in Gaza at least 66,055 deadmostly civilians, and 168,346 injured, in addition to thousands of missing, presumably buried in the rubble and also spread across the streets, and a few more thousands who died of diseases and infections, according to updated numbers by local authorities, which the UN considers reliable.

If Hamas agree with the peace plan, Israel will withdraw from the Gaza Strip “by stages”said Trump.

“In collaboration with the new transition authority in Gaza, all parties will agree with a calendar for the gradual removal of Israeli forces”Announced the US President.

Currently, the city of Gaza is underway, another forced move from the inhabitants out of the city and an occupation of the territory of more than 80% by the Israelite Army, which regularly opens fire on “humanitarian zones”, classified as “safe” and hungry civilians who go to the places where they are distributed to a scratch, after a total humanitarian blockade of more than two months.
