In Lesser Poland, culinary traditions have been nurtured for generations, and one of them is Production of Suski Sechlońska. It is a product that arises from traditional varieties of plums, primarily Hungarian (less often Promis, Tolar or Stanley).

So this is not only fruit, but rather part of the culinary heritage of Lesser Poland, a testimony of local tradition and multi -generational experience of residents in plum processing. To this day, in many local towns, holy plums are organized or special tour routes along the trail of dried plums (among orchards and dryers).
The Suski Sechlońska production process is unique and very traditional. Currently, four municipalities of the Lesser Poland Voivodships: Laskowa, Iwkowa, Łososina Dolna and Żegocin deal. Plums, usually Hungarian, are only gathered when they are fully mature (i.e. sweet, not very moist, fleshy and without signs of rot or damage). Then They go to special dryers (The oldest is over 100 years old), which look like small houses with a wood -burning stove (and are specific monuments of history in Lesser Poland towns).
