It began, on Tuesday (30), to Operation Room, with the objective of dismantling a gang specializing in cargo and truck theft. The action occurs simultaneously in,, and in some other locations. In total, 35 arrest warrants and 49 search and seizure are being served. The operation aims to arrest the members of the criminal group and collect evidence that proves the performance of the gang.

According to investigations, the criminal group is responsible for at least 50 crimes committed between July last year and August this year. Gang’s mode of operation consisted of hiring freight through digital applications and platforms. After the initial contact, the drivers were surrendered, and the trucks and loads were stolen.

Subsequently, vehicle pieces and stolen loads were marketed on websites and platforms on the Internet. Investigations continue to identify other possible people involved in the scheme.
