According to President of the Czech Republic Petr Paul, in the upcoming elections to the Chamber of Deputies of the Czech Parliament, it is a lotespecially because of the deteriorating security situation in the world. According to him, the Czech Republic needs a government that will ensure its safety and will not leave it to Russia. He said this on Tuesday in a speech that was broadcast by the main Czech television and Czech Radio. At the same time, he urged people to come to vote, even though the selection of candidates may not seem ideal, says TASR newsletter in Prague.
“We need a government that continues to ensure security for our country. Today, thanks to our firm anchoring in the EU and especially in the strongest defense alliance in the world, we need it. Impact on our freedom, security and economic prosperity, ” noted.
He strongly rejected the words of some politicians that this year’s elections should bring a change in the system. He recalled that the democratic system in the Czech Republic is enshrined in the Constitution and if someone claims that it should be removed after these elections, then democracy and the Czech Constitution despise. The President of the People assured that he would respect the will of citizens in connection with the results of the elections and will proceed in accordance with the Constitution. He wants to advocate about the emergence of a stable and competent government and to appeal to the future Prime Minister not to commit a threat to the security of the Czech Republic.
Paul also called on people to come to vote. “Some may feel that there is no one to vote for, because something or someone is hindered by each option. But the world is not ideal and we cannot expect a political party and politicians to exist all our ideas … If you don’t vote, you voluntarily accept that others will decide for you.”
