The United States plan to deport about 400 Iranians, most of whom entered the country illegally, as part of the repression of immigration by US President Donald Trump, a high Iranian authority said on Tuesday (30).
“In the first stage, they decided to deport 120 Iranians who entered the US illegally, most of whom through Mexico,” Iranian Foreign Ministry Director of Parliamentary Ministry told Hoshabadi, to the Semi-Section Agency Tasnim.
Deportation, an unusual example of cooperation between the two countries, occurred after months of negotiations, according to the New York Times, which reported the measure for the first time.

The director stated that the US “plan to deport about 400 Iranians, most of which have entered the country illegally, in line with the new anti-immigration approach of the US government.”
The first group of 120 would arrive in Iran in the next one or two days, he explained.
The newspaper reported that a flight chartered by Washington took off from the US state of Louisiana on Monday (29) and was scheduled to arrive in Iran via Qatar on Tuesday (30).
Some Iranians offered to leave after months at detention centers, and others not, the vehicle said.
The authority has asked the US to respect the rights of Iranian migrants in the United States.
“Some (repatriates) had residence permission, but, due to reasons stated by the US immigration office, were included in the list. Of course, his own consent was obtained for his return,” he continued.
The White House and the US State Department did not immediately respond to a Reuters news agency comment.
