The United States will send funds to defense against drones to Denmark, the Danish Ministry of Defense announced on Tuesday. Denmark will host two European summits in the coming days, and last week in this Nordic state, they repeatedly interrupted the operation of airports due to the flight of unknown drones. Recent drone incidents have led to the temporary closure of several Danish airports, including in Copenhagen, which is the largest in Northern Europe. Summit plans
On Wednesday, the leaders of the 27 Member States of the European Union will meet in the Copenhagen Palace Christiansborg, and later attend a ceremonial event at the royal headquarters of Amalienborg. For security reasons, Denmark announced on Sunday that it would close its airspace for all civilian unmanned aircraft by Friday.
Suspicions of Russia
The police have not yet found out who is behind the above -mentioned incidents. Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen said on Thursday that Denmark has been a victim of hybrid attacks in recent days. On Monday, she pointed out Russia as a country -threatening security in Facebook.
