Israeli Defense Minister Jisrael Kac said on Wednesday that the army had issued the last warning for Gaza residents to leave south of the Palestinian enclave. The persons who remain in the city will be considered by Israel as “terrorists”, TASR reports, according to the AFP report and The Times of Israel (Toi).
“This is the last opportunity for Gaza residents who want to do so to move south and leave members (Palestinian militant movement) Hamas isolated in Gaza,” Kac said in an official statement. “Those who remain … They will be considered terrorists and supporters of terrorism,” the minister added.
According to Kaca, Israeli troops are approaching the complete surroundings of Gaza. “The Israeli army is preparing for all possibilities and is determined to continue its operations until all the hostages and Hamas are not disarmed to end the war,” Kac added.
The only exit to the north will close
Israel has already announced on Wednesday that it will close the street of Ar-Rashid, the only remaining route that the residents of the southern Gaza band can reach the north. “The Ar-Rashid street will be closed for transport from the southern part at 12.00 local time (11.00 CEST),” said the army spokesman on the Platform X. “Movement south will be allowed to evacuate the city of Gaza.
Israel launched a ground offensive in Gaza in mid -September. The International Committee of the Red Cross (MVCK) reported on Wednesday that he had to temporarily suspend its activities in this area as a result of the intensification of military operations.
“The intensification of military operations in Gaza has forced MVČK to temporarily suspend the activities of its office in Gaza and move employees to the MVČK offices in the southern part of Gaza to ensure employee safety and continuity of activity,” the committee statement said.
