The Regulation, which sets out the exact conditions of aid with energy prices, should be approved by the government in the coming weeks. Subsequently, households will learn whether or not this aid applies to them. With each kind of energy, it can be set a little differentlythe Minister of Economy Denisa Saková (voice-SD) announced on Wednesday. It appreciated the approval of the new Act on the addressary energy in the National Council (NR) of the Slovak Republic, which creates a legal and institutional framework for this aid.

  • The government will approve the conditions for aid with energy prices soon.
  • The aid will be set differently according to the type of energy.
  • Energies for heat will take into account regional price differences.
  • Invoices for gas and electricity will include reduced prices.
  • They planned funding from the Eurofunds and the state budget.

According to the Minister, some calculations and intensive communication with sellers of individual energy are also needed in the near future. “We will try to give the energetic in the most visible way, that is, a slightly different approach will be, for example, in the heat, a slightly different approach will be with gas and electricity,” She said at a Saková press conference.

When supplying electricity and gas, the reduced price should be taken into account directly in the invoice. Another procedure will be in the supply of heat, as its prices differ significantly according to individual suppliers and regions. In this case, the assistance of the state should be in the form of energy. “We will try to put some way of justice in order not to get all people in Slovakia the same energy, but we will take into account the regional differences,” explained the minister.

The checks should be delivered to people through the Slovak Post at the beginning of next year. “We are trying to keep the household not get it sometime in March, but to get the first month of the Energosk who gets for a certain period of time. They will certainly be in the name, concerning a particular household to a specific collection point,” Sakova approached.

The government continues to assume that to help with energy prices that It should cost more than € 400 million next year, and Eurofunds will be used. There are still approximately € 17 million so farwhich can be used for the technical solution of the energy system or for personnel expenses associated with it. The remaining money is being negotiated with the European Commission (EC).

“In the meantime, it looks like we will not be able to get the exact allocation according to the existing legal system of the commission, or we will not be able to move one to one to the energy. But there is a plan that we can put the money into dual projects that will be financed from this, and they will release money in the state budget that can go to the energy, ” Sakova explained. According to her, the effort is to burden the state budget as little as possible and the problem of Slovakia with higher energy prices is also aware of the EC, which promised us help.

The Minister has emphasized that the approved law clearly defines who is entitled to energy, how it will be calculated and when this right arises or expires. “The calculation will be automatic, without the need for complicated requests and the system will protect the personal data of citizens. Sakova said. At the same time, she stressed that the Office Register will not contain sensitive data and all the necessary information is automatically loaded from other registers. The system’s security will also be checked regularly by the European Commission.
