A Ryanair flight that departed from Milan to London Stansted had to be diverted to Paris after two passengers starred in an unusual episode with travel documents. One of them will have started to pull pages from his passport and ingest them, while another tried to discard the document in the toilet. The incident forced the crew to intervene and ended with the arrest of the two men by the French authorities.
According to British tabloid Daily Star, the episode occurred 15 to 20 minutes after take -off.
The atmosphere on board changed suddenly, when witnesses saw one of the passengers sitting on the front of the aircraft to tear the passport and put the leaves in the mouth. The gesture surprised the other travelers, who quickly warned the crew.

While the first man drew attention in front of the plane, another passenger headed for the bathroom with the intention of laying on his passport in Sanita. According to the same publication, the flight attendants realized the behavior and tried to intervene. One of the crew will have knocked on the bathroom door, asking the passenger to stop pulling the self -culpture with the document inside.
The situation even led to a public announcement on board through the speakers to alert travelers about unusual behavior.
This communication eventually generated apprehension between those who followed the flight, with witnesses describing moments of tension and uncertainty.
Unexpected deviation to Paris
Given the severity of the occurrence, the commander decided to divert the route to Charles de Gaulle Airport in Paris. According to the same source, the moment was described by some passengers as “the 15 minutes most terminants” of the trip.
Upon arrival on French soil, the authorities were waiting for the plane and will have immediately detained the two individuals involved.
After the police intervention and a stop that lasted about two hours, the flight continued to the final destination in London.
