Deputy gathers with members of the PSD and PCdoB and intends to dialogue with the Senate before presenting his report
The rapporteur of the bill on amnesty to those involved in the acts of Deputy (Solidarity-SP), reaffirmed on Tuesday (30) that he will continue defending the reduction of penalties, despite the pressure of allies of former President Jair Bolsonaro (PL), who insist on a broader amnesty. “I still defend my idea of presenting the report under these conditions (penalties reduction),” said the parliamentarian after a meeting with the PL president, Valdemar Costa Neto, and the party leader in the House, Gostenes Cavalcante (RJ).
The position, however, contrasts with that of the PL, which charges “broad, general and unrestricted” amnesty – even though the expression is prohibited among co -religionists. “We will continue to insist that the reduction of penalties does not solve the problem. People have already served a sixth of the penalty. What is amnesty, but we will never close to the dialogue,” said Sostenes. Paulinho has maintained an intense schedule of meetings. Paulinho also signaled that he wants to listen to former petista minister José Dirceu. “I have been related to Zé since 1980, I have always been his friend and I want to hear him a little,” he said.
