In a statement, the Aracaju City Hall stated that the mayor determined the immediate establishment of administrative inquiry to investigate the case. He also said that management will act to ensure complete elucidation of the case, with exemption and respect for due process.

One of the servants who received the message reports that he felt embarrassed by the request for donation of financial resources from his immediate boss.
In the message, sent to a group about 15 commissioned employees, the coordinator suggested that the servers make monthly contributions, “spontaneously and voluntarily” to a cashier intended for spending.
“I would like to remember our demonstration of unity and gratitude to Secretary Tiago [sic] Silva for the opportunity given to us. As we talked earlier, I suggested that, spontaneously and voluntarily, we made the monthly contribution with a savings to the election period, as a form of recognition and support for your future project, “he said.
In the same message, the server said the contribution was optional and the control of resources would be made transparently in an account on its own name. He also stated that he would return the resources to the employees if the secretary decided not to be a candidate in the 2026 election.
Secretary Thyago Silva is a lawyer, municipal president of the PSDB and potential candidate for state deputy for Sergipe in 2026.

Secretary Thyago Silva, in turn, said that the server presented the bank statement of the account linked to QR code released between January and September 2025 and that there were no deposit of other employees.
He also stated that he vehemently repudiates any insinuation of illicit or unethical practice involving his name and stated his “unshakable commitment” to legality, ethics and transparency in public management. He was also willing to collaborate with any administrative or judicial investigation.
Emilia Corrêa management reported that an inquiry will be conducted by a commission at the Planning, Budget and Management Secretariat, and its installation will be published in the Municipal Official Gazette.
“The municipal administration stresses that it will continue to adopt all appropriate legal and administrative measures to protect the integrity of the public service and to ensure the complete elucidation of the case, with responsibility, exemption and respect for the principles of legality and due process of law,” he said.
