There is no lack of controversy around the “Full Self-Driving” feature (FSD) of Tesla cars. After persistent criticism and debates about misleading naming and exaggerated promises, also by CEO Elon Musk personally, the function was renamed “Full Self-Driving) in April 2024. The addition should point out that contrary to the name, it is not a completely autonomous control of the vehicle. But about an assistance system at level 2 of the SAE scale, which can perform various tasks – such as changing lanes – in certain situations.
