United States Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth said on Tuesday, 30, in a large meeting with military officers who would harden the patterns of aptitude and cleanliness to repress the “Woke culture” within the US Army. Hegseth also criticized “fat” generals and said the Armed Forces will require officers to be fit.
The Secretary of Defense and the president of the United States, Donald Trump, called hundreds of military leaders and their leading advisors from around the world to the base of the Marine Corps in Quantum, Virginia, without publicly revealing the reason.
His speech to the military focused on identity and gender issues. He said military leaders should “do the honorable thing and renounce” if they didn’t like their new approach.

The fact that admirals and conflict zones were summoned to a lecture on race and gender in the army showed the degree in which the country’s cultural wars became a first -rate agenda item for Hegseth’s pentagon, even in a moment of broad national security concerns around the globe.
Politically correct
The secretary criticized the so -called “politically correct” in his speech and said that the army promoted many officers for the wrong reasons based on race and gender rather than “historical.”
“The age of politically correct, excessively sensitive leadership that does not hurt anyone’s feelings now ends up at all levels,” Hegseth said.

Trump reinforced the speech and pointed out that the “purpose of the army is not to protect anyone’s feelings, but our republic.”
The secretary has also announced that he will relax disciplinary rules and weaken protections against prank calls, bullying and examples of toxic and abusive leadership.
He said the change is important to “allow leaders with forgotten or minor offenses to be not harmed by these infractions perpetually.”

“People make honest mistakes, and our mistakes shouldn’t define a whole career,” Hegseth said.
Moral harassment and toxic leadership have been the suspicious and confirmed causes behind various soldiers suicides over the last few years.
Hegseth also criticized the transgender soldiers and pointed out that merit must be restored as the main form of evaluation for promotions.

“When it comes to any work that requires physical strength to act in combat, these physical standards should be high and neutral about gender,” he said. “If women can, excellent, if not, what it is. If that means no woman is qualified for some combat work, so that is. This is not the goal, but it may be the result.”
