The federal deputy (MG) will take over the national presidency of in early December, with the mission of leading the party during next year’s national dispute.
The information, anticipated by CNN Brazil and confirmed by the panel, means Aécio’s return to a post he has already held between 2013 and 2017.
Current president of the Teotônio Vilela Institute, linked to the party, he will change places with Marconi Perillo, who today commands the acronym. Perillo, who is preparing to dispute the Government of Goiás in 2026, will replace Aécio in charge of ITV.
Aécio is today one of the main articulators of the party.
The goal with its return to the toucan command is to resume the protagonism of the subtitle the speech is to seek to recover guidelines such as efficiency of the public machine and fiscal responsibility.
Aécio has said that the path of the PSDB is to be a responsible center alternative, fleeing the polarization between petistas and pockets. The goal is to elect about 30 federal deputies next year, which would be a leap from 13 today.
Aécio himself has not yet decided whether he will compete in a new term in the House next year or seek to return to the Senate or even the government of Minas Gerais.
