In the context of this condemnable military operation, it becomes the responsibility of Israel the safety of detained people,” says the text of Itamaraty.
The ministry also stated that it reiterates the need for “immediate and unconditional survey of all Israeli restrictions on the entry and distribution of humanitarian aid in the Gaza Strip, in line with Israel’s obligations, as an occupying power, in the light of international humanitarian law.”

According to him, the news was received with surprise.
“I was informed about the incident involving Luizianne Lins, respected deputy with whom I am related to friendship. Last week, I spoke to the deputy and granted a temporary license so that she could fulfill this humanitarian mission. Given what happens today in the Gaza Strip, I confess that the news caught me by surprise,” he said.

In the plenary, Deputy Erika Kokay (PT-DF) also spoke in defense of his colleague.
“We have a parliamentarian in an absolutely humanitarian, peaceful flotilla that sought to bring fundamental help to the people of Palestine, who live among other torture their own hunger. This boat was intercepted by the State of Israel and their crew, who also involve a PSOL councilwoman and other Brazilians. We are here to say that this chamber needs to follow this process,” he said.
