Wanderlei Silva said on Wednesday that he will bring to court the case of the beating after the boxing between him and Popó, on Saturday (28), in São Paulo.
The two competitors were suspended by the National Boxing Council (CNB), along with four other people.
On social networks, Silva showed the injuries suffered and reported the consequences of violence.
“I broke my two orbits, I have my nose broken in four places. I was criminally assaulted by the son of Popó, who invaded the ring,” he said.
The beating occurred after a struggle sponsored by the Spaten beer brand. Popó and Wanderlei Silva had a fight with a maximum forecast of eight robberies, which ended in the fourth: Silva was disqualified for reaching the opponent with heads.
The teams of the two combatants rose in the ring. During a great deal of confusion, one of the sons of Popó, Rafael Freitas, struck a hard blow to Silva, who was knocked out, was unconscious and hospitalized. Popó had to undergo surgery in his hand.
“Indeed, he broke into the ring already punched me in the back of his neck. Then, hitting me with this punch, which opened a seven -point cut in my eye,” said the fighter on Wednesday, about Rafael Freitas, the son of Popó.
Silva also stated that he had scheduled works and, with a disfigured face, could not comply with his commitments.
“I am not able to sleep, I am going to be a lot of pain, a lot of discomfort. This can not be like this. It was undoubtedly a very criminal act, and every criminal act has to be tried by the court. And I go after that justice,” he concluded.
