Czechs decide on the future of the country: polling stations opened! Citizens have a choice of 26 pages

On Friday at 2 pm, polling stations opened in the two -day elections to the Chamber of Deputies of the Parliament of the Czech Republic. Voters can cast their vote until 10 pm on the first day. Shortly before the vote, the leaders of the parties and movements called on people to come to pass their vote and not let others decide for themselves, reports TASR.

Czechs vote in 14 constituencies, which are identical to the territories of the regions and in total there are around 14,800 districts. In this year’s elections, 26 groups are applying for their favor, for which more than 4400 candidates run. According to surveys of election preferences, seven entities could reach the Chamber.

In addition to the selection of new legislators, people will also decide in local referendums in almost 40 places. The most common will be wind power plants and, for example, in Prague 1 there will be restrictions on traffic and parking of borrowed electrocoles.

Abroad, Czechs can vote for 108 embassies. 27,574 citizens were enrolled in the special list of voters abroad, and almost 11,000 of them applied for the issuance of the documents necessary to vote correspondence. The Czechs in South America started to vote first at the embassies. The election results are estimated to be known on Saturday evening.

In the elections to the Chamber of Deputies in 2021, 8 275,752 people could vote, and in the end there were 5 375 090. At that time, 22 political entities applied for voters, four of them got to the House – the coalition together, the YES movement, the coalition of pirates and the tent and the SPD movement. The turnout was 65.43 percent.
