“We generate 1,100 tons of recyclable products, and this brings an annual revenue of $ 750,000, which helps cover new operating costs,” said Francisco Machado, Danone Security and Environment Manager.

In addition, by 2024 there was a reduction in power consumption by 10% and water by 12%, in the annual comparison.
With the use of biomass for steam generation since 2013, the installation has also issued 85% less CO2 than similar ones.
To maintain sustainability as a pillar, new strategies and investments were announced, such as the allocation of 2 million euros for water treatment between 2025 and 2026 and the search for reduction in operating cost by 2027.
