A team of divers made a historic discovery by locating the treasure of a wrecked Spanish ship in 1715, off the coast of Florida, United States. At the scene, more than a thousand gold and silver coins were found, with an estimated value of about $ 1 million (approximately 850 thousand euros).
The wreck dates back to the so -called “1715 fleet”, consisting of Spanish vessels that carried wealth from the new world to Europe and were eventually caught by a hurricane. The discovery joins other historical recoveries made over the last few years in this region, known for hiding numerous submerged treasures.
