Drama in Prievidza: The drunk driver thrust into six parked cars!

Almost half of the second alcohol per mille was inflated by a 69-year-old driver during a breath test, who hit six parked vehicles in Prievidza on Friday morning with his Mercedes. Informed about the Trenčín regional police spokeswoman Petra Klenková.

The traffic accident was done without injuries, but there was also damage to the traffic signs and the public lighting column. “The driver was on the spot underwent a breath test, which ended with a result of 0.70 mg/l of breath alcohol, which represents 1.46 per mille,” Klenková approached.

She added that the authorized member of the Prievidza District Traffic Inspectorate has initiated a criminal prosecution for an offense of threat under the influence of an addictive substance. The exact circumstances, cause and degree of fault are subject to further investigation.

“Alcohol behind the wheel is one of the most common causes of serious traffic accidents. Even a small amount of alcohol negatively affects the driver’s ability to concentrate, prolongs reaction time and reduces the estimate of distance and speed. The police therefore appeal to drivers to never sit behind the wheel under the influence of alcohol. The risk of an accident, a threat to life and the health of themselves and other road users is not worth it”Added Klenková.
