French photojournalist Antoni Lallican, 37, was killed on Friday in a drone attack on his car, while reporting on Donbass in eastern Ukraine, announced the EFJ-IFJ and SNJ journalistic organizations.
One Ukrainian journalist, Heorgiy Ivanchenko, was seriously injured in the same attackaccording to the European and International Federations of Journalists (EFJ-IFJ) and the French National Journalists Union (SNJ), which indicated that the attack occurred during the morning of Friday, at 7:20 TMG (08:20 of Lisbon).
According to other French journalists at the site, cited by the French Daily Libération, Ivanchenko underwent surgery and his health stabilized.
Circumstances remain unknown
The two men, who on several occasions worked for libération, were in the same vehicle at the time of the attackwhose exact circumstances are unknown.
