The MP-SP (from São Paulo) has signed an agreement with Bradesco that will allow prosecutors and prosecutors to take bank loans directly from the so-called penduricals-extra values recognized by the institution itself as due to the category.
Earlier this year, Attorney General Paulo Sérgio de Oliveira and Costa administratively acknowledged that members of MP-SP were entitled to receive the equivalent of an extra salary week per month worked between 2015 and 2023. The promoter and benefits about 1,900 people.
These additional payments are called “overwhelming for collection” under the justification of excess processes. The practice is supported by decisions of the CNMP (National Council of the Public Prosecution Service), the (National Council of Justice) and the (Supreme Federal Court).
This Thursday (2), Oliveira and Costa released a statement to the category informing the signing of an agreement with Bradesco to grant advances of credits to prosecutors and prosecutors, active or retirees, with payable payment in the monthly amounts of “recognized credits in administrative proceedings”.
In a statement, MP-SP stated that the agreement “enables the technical conditions for members of the institution, if they wish, can contract leaf discount loans, administered by Bradesco”, without detailing fees or deadlines.
The bank, in turn, said the contract “represents an important increase in the scope” of its performance in the public sector. The institution claims to maintain more than 2,000 contracts with public agencies and process more than 4 million accounts. According to note, the agreement with MP-SP was bid.
The measure generated embarrassment between part of the prosecutors themselves, who see excessive benefit to the category, which has the function of ensuring compliance with the laws, and questioning who would assume debts if extra payments are suspended by court decision or legal change.
The announcement of the agreement took place on the same day that was filed in the House the proposal of, which aims to reduce supersalaries in the public service.
