Putin uses irony to say that Lisbon is not a target for Russian drones

Vladimir Putin again launched barbs to the West. During the Valdai Debate Forum, the Russian President Irony commented on recent drones incidents that led to the temporary closure of several European airports, including in Denmark and Germany.

Putin stated that “he will not send more drones to Denmark, neither to France… nor Lisbon”, causing laughter in the room. However, the tone changed when a journalist stressed that it was just a joke. The Russian leader immediately answered, “It’s not a joke, it’s a warning.”

Putin also accused Europe of “hysteria” and using incidents with drones as “distraction maneuver” in his own internal problems.

It is recalled that in recent weeks, several European airports, including Munich, have been temporarily closed due to the presence of drones in restricted airspace. Poland even activated Article 4 of NATO after shaking Russian drones that violated its territory in September.
