NFL Commissioner, US Professional Football League, Roger Goodell, has spent many years trying to find ways to recruit new fans for sports worldwide, but he said the largest recent marketing tool came from an unlikely place: the pop superstrela.

The American singer of various awards began dating Kansas City Chiefs’s tight end, Travis Kelce, in 2023 and has been a regular presence in her games, including the Super Bowls LVIII and Lix.

The Swift fan army, known as “Swifties”, increased the number of viewers and the interest in NFL and Chiefs fans, known as “Chiefties”, especially since singer and Kelce announced their engagement in August.

As he continues to take the game abroad and maximize his reach, Goodell praised the alchemy of Swift’s influence.

“She has obviously brought a lot of attention to the league and to her fan base, which is a slightly different fans base from NFL, but brought them to the game,” Goodell told an audience at the Leaders Sports Conference.

“And, as Taylor said many times, ‘I entered without understanding the game as well as it should-and I’m loving it.’ Seeing her converting to a fan who really loves the game is something great for us.”

“And all these young fans who are coming are an advantage for NFL. So let’s enjoy how we can!”

With a new album scheduled to be released on Friday, “The Life of A Showgirl”, perhaps some traditional NFL fans may have become “Swifties”.
