United States President Donald Trump gave Hamas Palestinian militants until Sunday night to accept his proposal to end the nearly two -year war with US ally, Israel, in the Gaza Strip, or “Hell” will be triggered.
“An agreement needs to be reached with Hamas until Sunday, six (6) PM, Washington time, DC (19h Brasília),” Trump wrote on Friday on Truth Social.
“All countries have signed! If this last chance agreement is not achieved, all hell, as never seen before, will trigger against Hamas.”

The plan specifies an immediate ceasefire, an exchange of all hostages maintained by Hamas by Palestinian prisoners held by Israel, an Israeli withdrawal from Gaza, Hamas Disarmament and the introduction of a transition government led by an international body.
Trump first presented his plan to Egyptian leaders and authorities, Indonesia, Jordan, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, Pakistan, Qatar and United Arab Emirates, on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly last week.
The mediators of Qatar and Egypt shared the 20-point plan with Hamas at the end of Monday, after Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu appeared alongside Trump at the White House and endorsed the document, saying he satisfied Israel’s war goals.

“Intensive Discussion” ongoing Hamas Response
Hamas was not involved in the negotiations that led to the proposal, which asks the Islamic militant group to disarm, a requirement he had previously rejected.
Asked if his group had completed his response to Trump’s plan to Gaza, a Hamas authority told Reuters on Thursday night: “Not yet, an intense discussion is underway.”

The authority said Hamas has maintained talks with Arab mediators, Türkiye and Palestinian factions to shape “the Palestinian response.”
On Tuesday, Trump said he would give Hamas three to four days to accept the plan. This Friday, he described Hamas as a “relentless and violent threat in the Middle East.”
In his post on Truth Social on Friday, Trump made an apparent reference to Israel’s offensive in the city of Gaza. He said that the Hamas militants who remain in Gaza are trapped and “will be hunted and killed” without agreement, and warned the “innocent Palestinians” to leave to the safer areas of Gaza.

The United Nations has repeatedly affirmed that no place in Gaza is safe.
Israel blocked the main road in the city of Gaza on Thursday and told its thousands of residents to flee south, warning that it was the last chance to escape a major offensive.

The city of Gaza and neighboring areas are suffering from hunger and it is likely that it spreads, according to a global hunger monitor in late August.
Israel interrupted all the help for 11 weeks, from March to mid -May, and says it is improving access, but the UN and groups say it is necessary more.
“President Trump’s initiative for Gaza opens a window of opportunity. She offers a chance for Palestinians to receive help to save lives on the urgently needed scale and to bring hostages home,” UN’s Chief of Assistance Tom Fletcher said in a statement on Friday.

Trump’s plan requires Gaza aid to be distributed without interference from neutral international groups, with the UN promising 170,000 tons ready to enter.
Israel began his offensive in Gaza after the Hamas -led Israel attack on October 7, 2023, in which about 1,200 people were killed and 251 were taken back to Gaza, according to Israeli records. Israel’s military campaign killed more than 66,000 people in Gaza, mostly civilians, according to Gaza’s health authorities.
Trump said in his Friday post that “more than 25,000 ‘soldiers’ of Hamas have been killed.” Hamas rarely disseminates the deaths among its combatants.
