NFL champion in 2013, the former US athlete Arthur Jones He died this Friday (03/10), at 39 years. The cause has not yet been informed. Baltimore Ravens, a team in which he acted and won the Super Bowl Xlvii title, paid tribute to the former defender.

Arthur was the brother of Jon Jones, UFC legend, and Chandler Jones, also a football player. Born in Rochester, New York, on June 3, 1986, the former lineman entered the league after being selected in the fifth round of the 2010 draft.

During his professional career, he defended Baltimore Ravens (2010–2013), Indianapolis Colts (2014–2016) and Washington Redskins (2017). In his career, he accumulated 64 games and 173 tackles. His most striking moment happened in 2013, when he helped Ravens beat San Francisco 49ers at Super Bowl Xlvii.

In an official statement, Baltimore Ravens deeply regretted the loss:

“We are devastated by Arthur Jones’s unexpected death. He was a special person whose energy, joy and generosity marked everyone around him. His smile and his positive attitude impact companions, friends and family. We sent our condolences on the Jones family and everyone who had the privilege of living with him.”
