Monetary authority informs that regulation will bring the “definition of the product”; Details on Operating Procedures will come in early December
(Central Bank) reported on Friday (3.out.2025) that the regulation of the installment Pix will be published in the last week of October. The monetary authority said that the norm will bring the “Product definition, in a standardized way, aiming to improve the user experience”.
“Private credit solutions or deferral payment linked to the realization of a widely used Pix may continue to be offered, provided that it does not fer the regulation.”said the municipality.
The Central Bank said it will publish in early December details on operating procedures and standardization of the user experience – both in hiring the credit operation associated with the payment transaction as well as in payment of the operation’s installments. It will then open a period of adequacy for financial and payment institutions.
The disclosure took place during a meeting of the Pix Forum, on Thursday (2.out). This is the Permanent Advisory Committee composed of about 300 participants in the financial system and members of civil society.
The collegiate aims to subsidize the BC in defining the rules and procedures that discipline the operation of the Pix.

From Saturday (4.out), the BC will block the PIX keys marked by participating institutions as used for blows and fraud. “This is another mechanism to strengthen the safety of Pix”said the monetary authority.
