Donald Trump had a phone call with Recep Tayyip Erdogan. The Turkish presidency in a statement notes that the bilateral relations between Turkey and the US, as well as the situation in Gaza, were discussed.
The Turkish president stressed that his country is making strong efforts to secure peace and tranquility throughout the region, especially in Gaza, and that he welcomes the initiatives aimed at this goal.
Recep Tayyip Erdogan pointed out that Turkey has accelerated its diplomatic contacts for peace, that it will continue to contribute to the global peace perspective and that the ending of Israel’s attacks is vital to the success of its initiatives.
