Management (Republicans) sent a bill that establishes the state policy of social assistance in the state.
The measure will make it possible to regulate the Unified Social Assistance System (SUAS), with the participation of government and municipalities. The text defines guidelines and provides for the financing of assistance programs.
“With the law of yours, which was a historical demand, we will have more legal certainty, predictability and integration, strengthening shared management and ensuring better responses to the population,” says Social Development Secretary Andrezza Rosalém.
Among the points provided for in the bill are regulation of the Social Protection Program, which offers assistance, benefits and income transfer services in coping with poverty and reorganization of the fund responsible for the transfers and accountability of the municipalities.
The measure also creates seats for the population, representatives of entities and workers in the State Council of Social Assistance (Conseas).
