Hamas expected to release 33 hostages in first phase of new ceasefire agreement

Hamas also reveals that he is ready to start peace negotiations through mediators

Faced with Donald Trump’s ultimatum – accepting until Sunday at 6 pm in Washington (23h00 in Lisbon), a plan to lock the war – Hamas says he is available to free “all hostages” Israelites, “The Living and Bodies”, in the context of this proposal. According to Reuters, the movement admits to advance for mediated negotiations “without delay”.

At the same time, Al Jazeera, citing a statement from Hamas on Telegram, refers to the group’s “availability” to “immediately enter negotiations through the mediators in order to discuss the details of this agreement.”

The channel adds that Hamas agrees to deliver Gaza administration to a “independent organism of Palestinian technocrats”, based on the “Palestinian National Consensus” and the “Arab and Islamic” support. “Other questions mentioned in President Trump’s proposal, regarding the future of the Gaza Strip and the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people, are linked to a unified national position and relevant international laws and resolutions,” reads Hamas’s message on the Telegram, quoted by Al Jazeera.

The US sketch foresees an immediate ceasefire, removed phased from Israelite forces, hammal disarmament and international transient administration to Gaza. The text also fixes that, up to 72 hours after public acceptance, all hostages would be returned-alive and corpses-Israelites and, on the other hand, would follow the release of hundreds of Palestinian prisoners, including 250 with perpetual imprisonment and 1,700 detainees after October 7, 2023.

The plan also provides that Trump presides over a committee that supervises (it would be a kind of “Chairman”) the transition in Gaza. And if the proposal is adopted, as now it seems to be, “no one will be forced out of Gaza,” said the US President.
