Teams from the 20th Battalion of the Federal District Military Police (PMDF) dismantled, on Friday night (3/10), a scheme of falsification of alcoholic beverages in Sobradinho dos Melos. The place functioned as a true clandestine laboratory, prepared to produce and adulterate distillates industrially.
The discovery occurred during operation 5th commandment, which supervised bars from Paranoá and Itapoã. In a distributor on Quadra 03 of Fazendinha, Sanitary Surveillance inspectors realized that some bottles had tampered seals. When checking the invoice, the police identified a suspicious address in Sobradinho dos Melos and decided to check.

At the indicated place, the team found a space structured exclusively for the manufacture of counterfeit drinks, with equipment capable of performing all stages of fraud: production, filling, labeling and packaging. Several boxes of empty bottles, known brands, caps, machinery and chemicals used in adulteration were seized.

A caretaker was found inside the laboratory and led to the 6th DP. He said the owner of the property is in Ceará. The case was registered as a crime against consumer relations, as forgery is serious risk to the health of the population.
In addition to the PMDF and Sanitary Surveillance, the operation of the DF Military Fire Department, the Public Security Secretariat and the Legal DF participated in the operation.
