São Paulo disputes the continental competition for the first time, after winning the Brazil Super Cup and ending as runner-up of the 2024 Brazilian Championship.
San Lorenzo, in turn, arrives with morals after winning the Argentine Cleep Championship of 2024. The Argentine club has already participated in Libertadores in 2009 and 2021, but did not advance beyond the group stage.
