The judge said that a long time was necessary for dissuasion and that he was not convinced that if Combs is released, these crimes will not be repeated.
The sentence hearing took place at the New York Court, where the tycoon was tried, with his presence and before a large crowd.

The musician was acquitted in July of the main charges, which had a more serious sentence of life imprisonment and convicted of two accusations regarding a crime of prostitution, including transportation with the intention of promoting prostitution.
