Two Belgian participants of the Global Sumud flotilha began a hunger strike after being arrested by Israel, reported by the SEF Agency.
Alexis Deswaef, lawyer and vice president of the International Human Rights Federation (FIDH), and the Latifa Gharboui activist, based in Brussels, are the two Belgians detained by Israel who participated in the initiative of the Global Sumud flotilha and were arrested on the 01st for Israeli forces.

“Our ambassador has personally met with Belgian Flotilha participants, in particular to ensure their safety and health,” a Belgian Foreign Ministry spokesman told local media, adding that “Israeli authorities intend to expel them from their territory.”
