Residents of neighborhoods such as Santo Afonso, Belo Jardim and Vila Acre, in the second district of Rio Branco, have faced a reduction in water supply since last week. The problem was caused by breaking a 400mm adductor located in a hard -to -reach forest area.

The forecast is that the situation will be normalized until next week | Photo: Secom
According to the Rio Branco Water and Sewage Service (Saerb), responsible for the system, the pipe is old and the disruptions have occurred more often, requiring constant maintenance of the technical teams. While repairs are not completed, supply is being partially done, with reduced flow.
The situation is expected to be normalized until next week. To keep the population informed, Rio Branco City Hall advises residents to accompany the official channels of SAERB, where updates are released on specific services and guidelines for each affected region.
During this period, the city reinforces the need for conscious use of water, avoiding waste, in order to ensure that all areas served have access to the appeal until the work is completed.
