The 1-0 defeat to Spain on Saturday (4) yielded not only the elimination of the Brazilian team in the U-20 World Cup, but also the worst campaign in history in the tournament. Fifth champion, Brazil had never been eliminated in the group stage.
In this edition, the team of Ramon Menezes added only one point in three games in Group C., Amarelinha also lost to Morocco in the second round and tied with Mexico in the debut.
Moroccans and Mexicans, in fact, advanced to the octaves. Spain can still advance as third place – depends on the results of the other keys.
