Disco Patrick Watson - SIC News

Canadian Patrick Watson has a new album. The 45 -year -old musician returns in January to Portugal for two concerts.

Patrick Watson recalls the nearly two dozen times he acted for the Portuguese public and the connection with the country’s culture in an interview with SIC.

“There is a kind of longing that I like to call melancholy, I think we have in common in a strange way …” he said.

And these are moments of melancholy and silence that goes back to the latest work. Through the lyrics and instrumental construction with synthesizers, on the album “UH OH”, the 45 -year -old musician divides themes with other artists, after having been left without a voice for about 2 years.

“Most of the themes of the songs are that I speak too much … And one of the good things to lose my voice when you talk a lot is so sill … When that happens, everyone gets smarter … Much of the time you talk about yourself, nobody wants to know,” he says.

“Je Te Laissrai de Mots” or “To Build a Home” are some of Patrick Watson’s successes. It is next year that the Canadian musician will bring the 9th studio album to Casa da Música in Porto on January 14 and the day after Lisbon room in Lisbon.
