During an interview with Contilnet, at Expofronteira, the mayor of Assis Brasil, Jerry Correia, said that the expectation of the public for daily musical attractions should be maintained in the next editions of the fair. “If you start from a size there is no way to regress,” said the mayor, reinforcing that the adopted model does not overload the city’s coffers.

The event also rekindled an important debate on the role of public power in investing in culture and leisure. According to Correia, it is a constitutional right that should not be ignored. “Public spending follows the principle of transparency. I am proud to say that we put Assis Brasil on the map of the great events of the state of Acre,” says the mayor.
Jetrry also points out that the action does not prevent asphalting streets, building homes, and investing in health, education and sports. According to the mayor it is possible to reconcile the event with the other demands.
