About the game
Coming from a 5-1 rout on Pafos by Champions League, Bayern Munich started with everything and needed just 15 seconds to open the scoring with Luis Díaz, completing first in the second post, taking advantage of Frankfurt’s defense nap.
The two teams even scored in sequence, but the goals were annulled by impediment. Bayern almost did the second when Frankfurt’s Robin Koch tried to ward off a cross and sent the ball in the crossbar.
The rhythm of the game fell gradually, but Kane widened with a precise low kick from outside the area, putting the advantage 2-0 on the scoreboard.
Frankfurt failed to react and was defensive even after Bayern decreases the pace in the second half. Díaz closed the scoring 39 minutes into the second half, with a beautiful spin and finishing.
