Quince is often referred to as Polish lemon and for a reason, because these fruits can easily be their substitutes in recipes or tea. However, quince is much more difficult to cut and get rid of grains. Sometimes it requires wrestling with fruit. When preparing preserves from more quince, it can be tiring. Therefore, it is worth using grandma’s methods – proven and effective. We suggest what to do to be easier to be able to peel quince.

The fruits begin to ripen around in mid -September (depending on the prevailing conditions), then some people decide to pick them – they are usually harder, but they are already suitable for preserves – in October they change the color of the skin to heavily yellow, at the end they become more softer.
