The American envoy and the son -in -law of Donald Trump, Jared Kushner, are also expected in Egypt for these talks. Hamas accepted on Friday (3) parts of Trump’s proposal, and on the same day the office said that “is prepared” for the immediate implementation of the first phase of the plan.

Despite having agreed with the liberation of Israeli hostages, several issues remain unresolved, as if Hamas will accept to disarm – one of Israel’s main demands. Hamas also agreed with one of the demands seen as the most laborious of the plan: he agreed to give up power in the Gaza Strip and to deliver it to a technocratic government, as Trump wanted. But the terrorist group claims to want to participate in the “Palestinian national structure” that will help to form this government, something that is not foreseen in the Republican plan.
