The diagnosis occurred approximately a month ago. Even after discovering the disease, Everton Ribeiro continued to play normally for Bahia. During this period, he participated in eight matches – including the Northeast Cup final, the return game of the quarterfinals of the Brazilian Cup and six rounds of the Brazilian Championship. His last performance was last Sunday (05/10), against Flamengo.
The midfielder arrived in Bahia last season, after ending a long and victorious cycle in Flamengo, where he remained for seven years and won 11 titles. Prior to that, he defended Corinthians, Sao Caetano, Coritiba, Cruzeiro and Al-Ahli, from the United Arab Emirates.
