Shopee inaugurated its 14th Distribution Center in the country, located in São Bernardo do Campo, in the metropolitan region of São Paulo, announced the company on Monday (6).
The company, from the Singapore group Sea, said the distribution center will be in the “Cross-Docking” model, where the goods arrive at the site and are transferred to the final destination without being stored.
Twelve of the 14 SHOPEE distribution centers in Brazil are in the Cross-Docking model, while two others are “FULFILLME”, in which the products are stored.

SHOPEE said the new distribution center will have the largest automated product classification system among its operations in the country, capable of processing about 3.8 million orders per day.
Shopee’s expansion director Rafael Flores said in a press release that the decision to launch the Distribution Center at this time of year, which precedes Black Friday and Natal, was strategic, given the typical increase in requests during this period.
