Vitor Roque fez postagem homofóbica provocando o São Paulo? image

Author of one of the goals of Virada do Palmeiras over São Paulo 3-2, this Sunday (5), at Morumbis, Vitor Roque also became the subject also outside the four lines. After the classic, the striker made a homophobic publication on social networks, which generated immediate reaction from the club itself.

In the post, published on Instagram, the player shared the image of a tiger, a nickname he is known, biting a deer’s neck, in a clear offensive insinuation of São Paulo. The attitude was interpreted as a homophobic attack.

Palmeiras would have acted internally as soon as they learned of the content. Managers talked to Vitor Roque and made it clear that “posts like these no longer fit football.” The attacker then deleted the image of the published carousel, keeping the other photos.

The negative repercussion was great, and São Paulo also spoke out about the case. The club repudiated the attitude of the Palmeiras player, stating that this type of publication can generate violence.

To ESPN, Tricolor sent an official note: “Sao Paulo Futebol Clube repudiates any kind of demonstration that can generate violence, such as this unfortunate post.”

So far, Palmeiras has not issued a public note about the episode.
