A couple shared in Tiktok the report of their two -day trip to the Algarve, showing that it is possible to enjoy the summer by spending less than many imagine. According to the @muaSpraviver_ account, the two elements of the couple departed from Lisbon to Portimão and, even buying everything “on time”, managed to scale for 362.38 euros.
“From bus tickets coming out of Lisbon to Portimão and returned we spent a total of 55.90 euros,” they explained. “We bought it even in the day, but if you buy more in advance it gets cheaper.”

The accommodation was shared between two different hostels, with a total of 89 euros for the two nights. “We stayed in two different hostels in Portimão,” said the couple, stressing that the most economical options compensated for location and cleaning.
Regarding meals, the value was 91.83 euros. “We didn’t eat in expensive restaurants and we always prioritized eating in supermarket, which is cheaper,” they said. According to the same source, this strategy was essential to maintaining the budget controlled without abdicating the experience.
Transportation and Activities: Which weighs the most in the account
During the two days, the couple spent 42.05 euros on transport within the region. “We used a lot of Uber and, to go from Portimão to lakes and return, we used Flixbus,” they detail. The choice allowed them to visit multiple beaches and move without the need to rent a car.
However, the highlight of the trip was the tour of the coast. “We took a boat trip and kayaking through the Benagil cave and many others along the Algarve coast. It cost 42 euros per person, ie 84 euros for both.” With this activity, the total trip reached 362.38 euros.
What makes Portimão a complete destination
It should be noted that Portimão was, for decades, one of the major centers of the National Conserve Industry.
