In an interview with SheetHe said that “but it is not a certainty” and that “I have not truly not made that decision.”

“Sometimes I have the feeling of already fulfilling my cycle [no STF]. Sometimes I think I could still do more. I am talking as free as possible, from the bottom of my heart, “he said in the interview.

Barroso left the Supreme after a management that advanced in marijuana, internet and the prison system, but also reinforced old characteristics such as the high income of the judiciary and the proximity to politicians. He presided over the court between 2023 and 2025.

Fachin assumed the presidency of the Supreme Court on the 29th, and has an expected term to last until 2027.
