The minister, of the (Supreme Federal Court), authorized this Tuesday (7) that the former president (PL) receive a visit from the senator (PP-PI) and the leader of the Chamber, (RJ).
This will be the first meeting between Ciro and Bolsonaro after the senator and former minister of the Civil House became the target of Bolsonarism for saying, in an interview with the newspaper O Globo, that there is only one for the right in the 2026 elections: the governor of São Paulo, , or the governor of Paraná, .
The governor of Goiás, Ronaldo Caiado (União Brasil), told Sheet that . “He [Ciro] If you want to think that a candidate with six months in advance survives a bombardment by the federal machine alone, that has no scruples, no limits in reaching people, see how much he is thinking about him”, he said.
Caiado stated that Ciro saying who Bolsonaro will support is like “the tail that wants to command the dog”. The governor also said that the senator is interested in being nominated for the position of vice president.
One of Bolsonaro’s main allies in agribusiness called Ciro an opportunist and said that the senator does not have a power of attorney to speak on the former president’s behalf.
“Everyone knows that he [Ciro] wants to be vice. Yesterday it was Tarcísio. Today it’s Tarcísio and Ratinho. Who could it be tomorrow, Lula?” he told Sheet.
The meeting between Ciro and Bolsonaro should take place on Thursday (9), from 9am to 6pm.
Another six politicians received authorization to visit Bolsonaro. They are Marcus Ibiapina, Bolsonaro’s advisor; Bruno Scheid, state vice-president of PL; senator Marcos Pontes (PL-SP); senator Márcio Bittar (PL-AC); deputy Sóstenes Cavalcante (PL-RJ); and the president of PL, Valdemar Costa Neto.
“I emphasize that all visits must comply with the legal and judicial determinations previously established, as well as, in accordance with the decision of 8/30/2025, inspections will be carried out in the cabins and trunks of all vehicles that leave the defendant’s residence”, wrote Moraes.
The meeting with Sóstenes will be the first with Bolsonaro since the deputy met with Eduardo Bolsonaro in the United States. The former president’s son published a photo with the PL leader and posted it on social media with the caption “all united for amnesty”.
